Background
Snappii is a major developer of mobile business applications. Snappii provides customers with business process automation and field reporting applications that are used to manage construction, inspection, procurement and work order management.
As a mobile app developer, Snappii needed to host their project on a flexible cloud platform. The key requirements of the company to the cloud environment were the reliability and scalability of the solution. The site had to withstand high peak loads without losing functionality and without excessive costs.
Solution
Previously Snappii used data centers of a third-party provider, but in the process they encountered a number of limitations in its functionality, and also found out that the provider basically uses the resources of Amazon Web Services. The choice towards AWS was dictated not only by the global reputation of the brand, but also by the widespread use of AWS services by other development companies and the powerful professional community of the brand.
Murad Mutaev, IT engineer at Snappii: "Snappii develops world-class solutions and takes care of its customers. Therefore, we are very demanding to the platform used as the basis for these solutions".
Services involved:
- Amazon EC2.
- Amazon VPC.
- Amazon S3.
- Amazon CloudWatch.
- AWS CloudTrail.
- AWS Key Management Service.
- Amazon Dynamo DB.
Results
A fault-tolerant solution was built on the basis of AWS services, now it's available
from anywhere in the world in real time for a large number of users. After migrating to Amazon Web Services data center, the monthly bill for solution hosting was reduced, and the speed of revisions has increased significantly.
Murad Mutaev, IT engineer at Snappii: "If we have to choose the platform for project hosting in future, we will surely choose Amazon Web Services again".
